Roxee Holloway, Chamber Coordinator
Roxee Holloway joined the Cheyenne River Chamber of Commerce as Chamber Coordinator in 2007. Her responsibilities include meeting with business owners, selling Chamber memberships, fielding inquiries from potential Chamber members and visitors to the area, attending educational seminars to represent the Cheyenne River Reservation and working to further develop the organization. Roxee’s past experience includes working for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Employment Rights Office, the Cheyenne River Housing Authority, the Tribal Health Department and the Game, Fish and Parks Department. Roxee serves as a Director for the Tri-County/Mni Waste’ Water Association, the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Ventures and the Tribal Finance Corporation boards. She is also the Chair for the Cheyenne River Housing Authority Board of Directors. Roxee was born and raised on the Cheyenne River Reservation and is well-known throughout the Reservation communities. She graduated from
Cheyenne-Eagle Butte high school and attended Western Texas College in Snyder, TX and Central Wyoming College in Riverton, WY. Roxee’s family includes her son Riggin, a student at Dupree High School; her parents, Johnny and Sharyn Holloway; sisters Randee and Johnilyn and their families; and brothers Chuck and the late T.C. Holloway.

A chamber of commerce serves as an informational hub for its members and the communities it serves. From offering trainings and providing referrals, to planning events and promoting members, chambers are relied heavily upon to act as a key channel of communication in a particular area.

The Cheyenne River Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 2005 and earned non-profit status in 2007. A regional organization, the Chamber’s mission is promote a vibrant regional economy and provide opportunities and valuable services to chamber members for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life in the communities of the Cheyenne River Reservation.

The day-to-day operations of the Cheyenne River Chamber of Commerce are managed by Roxee Holloway, Chamber Coordinator, along with a group of dedicated individuals who make up the Board of Directors. Together, Roxee and the Board plan and execute events and trainings, promote business members and communities, provide information to visitors and individuals interested in relocating and inform the communities on the Reservation about opportunities available to them.
